3. Affiliate Commission Disclosure

Affiliates in the The Open Window Academy Affiliate Program earn a flat 30% commission on the Company's Net Revenue from qualifying referral sales. Important disclosures regarding affiliate commissions:

• Commission amounts may vary by product because some products are sourced through the Company's third-party partners, and the Company's revenue from those sales varies.
• The 30% commission is calculated on the revenue the Company actually receives, not the retail price of the product.
• There is no guarantee of any specific commission amount for any given referral.
• Most Affiliates who join referral programs earn little to no commission income.

4. Product-Based Business Model Statement

The Open Window Academy is a legitimate product-based course platform. Our business model is built on the sale of genuine digital courses, educational products, and curated resources to end consumers. The value of each product is derived from its content and utility, not from the recruitment of other participants.

• Product Value: Every customer receives lifetime access to the course(s) they purchase, regardless of whether they participate in the Affiliate Program.
• No Recruitment Requirement: Customers are not required to recruit others to use or benefit from their purchased courses.
• Commission Source: Commissions are earned on the sale of products to end consumers, not on recruitment alone.
• Voluntary Participation: The Affiliate Program is entirely voluntary. Customers may use their purchased courses without ever participating as an Affiliate.

5. Self-Employment Tax Responsibility

IMPORTANT TAX NOTICE: If you earn income through the The Open Window Academy Affiliate Program, you are classified as a self-employed independent contractor. This has significant tax implications.

• Self-Employment Tax: You are responsible for paying self-employment tax (currently 15.3% in the U.S.) on your net earnings, which covers Social Security and Medicare contributions.
• Federal & State Income Tax: All commissions are taxable income that must be reported on your tax return.
• Quarterly Estimated Payments: If you expect to owe $1,000 or more in taxes, you may be required to make quarterly estimated tax payments to the IRS.
• 1099-NEC Reporting: The Company will issue IRS Form 1099-NEC to any U.S.-based Affiliate earning $600 or more in a calendar year.
• Record Keeping: You are responsible for maintaining accurate records of all income and business expenses.
• Professional Advice: The Company strongly recommends consulting with a qualified tax professional regarding your specific tax obligations.
